    Ogwo omusango balina okubba nga bagugobye mu court kubba n'omulamuzi yafudde enseko nga musajja mukulu anyonyola ensonga nga teyelumye nantamatama.  Yye abaffe, kati ye yali atunuliraayo ki?  Bweyandilabye nga ekintu kyabise nga yeseega!  Naye abasajja abadugavu tebagwaayo atte balina ebyekwaso bingi, kati nnyini olwo annonya wa weyegirako buvunanyizibwa ku Mama Baby!

     Atte ani Nnalongo wanno?

    Translation:

    I suspect that case was thrown out of court given that the judge also cracked up when the man tried to explain everything in details.  But again why did he look there in the first place?  He should have found the first exist after realising things were not good (it was time for his wife to give birth)!  Typical of African men, I bet if he given chance he would look for a way out of that responsibility for Mother and child!

    Who is a mother of twins here?

    dicrimination in ugandan society

    IT's about time the educated and non-eduacted,english and native languages farce is sorted with the discrimanation laws in place.Equality is the way foward so i see no reason why someone with no academic papers shouldn't run for president.Why should english be the only langauge of politicinas and gov't officials,dep'ts.It's illegal it has to be forced out.

    Do Mayembe require visas?

    MW - Mpulidde nti kakano abasawo abekinansi, ate era abayinza okuyamba abo abetaga okukomyawo katugambe nga omukwano ogulemye, oba eri abo abakyaganyi okudda mu kwagala oba bufumbo, mbu babayamba. Abasawo bano bewandiisa mu butabo bwamawulire agasomwa era agafulumizibwa mu abantu baffe abadugavu - "All Nations" eno e Ebungereza!  Kale no kati no abo abolesa amayembe nandikyi malagala kuloga nebyona, mwebakyakalira!  Leero nkugambye - ensi ensobedde nze!!!!  Strange but seriously sad...

    QS I know you are one of the ppl most likely to be interested to have this interpretation so will oblige to translate. Of late in my walks of life something happened that got me to question if not wonder, about the possibility of evil spirits to be granted visas so that they fly across all the way from Africa - namely Ug and work their magic in distant lands.  See I was of the understanding that these "mayembe" do not cross seas (mind you persons are noted to be going down to the lakes etc in search of them!).  However increasingly there are persons practicing with such spirits, claiming to have these in their possession (sent across by even DHL!!!!) advertising their services in a local newspaper published and read by mostly black persons called "All Nations", here in the UK.

    Now that's a feat worth breaking to News of the World!!!!

    SugarB,

    Mayembe (Juju)  myth either feeds on our primal fears or may just be easy explanation for the irrational and its  purveyors usually  thrive on selling  false hope to the hopeless especially for good luck, wealth and affection. BTW, I think mayembe is the vindictive side of the whole dark science (Juju).

    Even then stuff at times happens that makes you wonder  whether that science is as quacky as its believed to be.

    SAVE our native tribal languages!

    Qsheeba:

    With all that has been going on about this link; to all Ugpulse family members in Uganda.  Opportunity is knocking at your door to start a business selling books written in our dilects to the diaspora group over the internet.  Whomever starts the business I want my cut for giving you the idea.  Ugpulse must get its cut too...........................LOL

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Colonialism has brought new western civilisation and languages of the colonial masters in those areas tht have become independent nations in Africa, Asia and Latin America or even in Australia. but its also true that as the English or British came to Uganda 1862-1962 they made sure that we  learnt and spoke the language of the colonial masters and thus even in schools up to recently one is punished (read:given corporal punishment) for speaking the native languages while at school. Thanks to the MoEd ruling or ban on corporal punishments - since some 6 yrs ago.  this mainly due to the new ruling or policy by the Uganda Ministry of Education  (MoEd) that no more corporal punishments in schools. The CORPORAL PUNISHMENTS are becoming a thing of the past.
    But along with the ban on corporal punishments for use of native languages, now comes the new ruling by the MoEd that the children be taught in their mother languages  or native tribal languages from nursery school to P3 before they start embarking on a serious programm of studying English. Its a good idea and a very welcome idea. And now we have many students graduating from Universities and other teriary colleges andeven some finishing O level or A level os SS and they cannot express them selves comfotably in their native langauges. It was only the other day tha a friend of mine told me that I should not write to him in OUR commonly shared native tribal language  of RUNYAKITARA simply because he claims he cannot understand it very welll  and that its easier for him to communicate in Englishrather than in Runyakitara !!!!!!!!. Mai mai mai mai mai mai!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. ------ now I see where. we are heading --- its the death of our tribal languages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the failure of the educated and the elite to enhance the use of local native tribal languages it all stems from the attitude planted in us by the colonial masters and making africans look down on wahtever they have --- iif the chicken is looking good  then its the white mans chicken NKOKO NZUNGU vs Nkakoko kaganda, or as some even despize to much lower level MBU kakoko kanyoro as if the banyoro as the least talented or blessed of all pipoz on earth.PINEAPLES= Nanansi Nzungu vs kananansi kaganda katooro kakiga,CATTLE/COWS=its the ENTE NJUNGU vs akate akanyoro. Tomatoes = Enyanya enzungu vs enyanya enganda, DOG=Embwa Enzungu  vs akabwa akanyoro, but mwhy this self diminishing of evrything bad and poor in qaulity being attributed to the NATIVE?? its time we wake up and be more positive looking at our selves and whatever we have
    Its a shame tat we are educated by the BAZUNGU and SPEAK LUZUNGU RUJUNGU, RUNGEREZA KINGELEZA and cannot speak or express ourselves comfortably in the native languages of the areas where we come from. But dont forget tat 80% of the Ugandan population lives out there in the country side and the native langauge and culture of each tribe is still there alive ad active --- some of it still live and active in the towns and cities ad slums and the local dishes and local beer still beig prepared as its done deep in the villages. and wghat is more amazing is that at the KWANJULA Wedding ceremonies its the native language to be used or you will not take their daughter. true we need English language in schools for linkage with the international community ad for the UNEB Exams but lets not drop the native languages. lets not be like Latin America---- they were swallowed up by Spanish and lost their languages and AFRICA especuially East Africa we must save our tribal languages and save Swahili language as well.
    Africa be proud of ua self and ua languages and ua songs and ua culture and ua talents and reigious beleifs as Africansa or we shal loose it all in the name of GOBALISATION
    I think its time we get to write books in our native languagesesp
