A recent article in the daily Monitor News brought to surface a growing problem facing Ugandans travelling or wishing to travel globally. Due to fragrant abuse of office - some persons have taken it upon themselves to exploit any given opportunity to dish out diplomatic priviledges to whomever ticks their personal boxes to the point that now some of our genuine diplomats and non-diplomats abroad are treated with suspcion simply because they carry a Ugandan PP.  The security that has arisen as a result to monitor and minimise potential terror acts puts Ugandans in the red - simply because of the undermined regulations that govern immigration within her borders. If any tom, *** or harry with the right amount of money (or pretence!) can buy his/way into holding and passing themselves off as a Ug citizien this is laying in store major problems for the country. 

SB - I am currently on the long wait for one of two things. 1. Dual citizenship finally starts (no sight of anything towards a timeline at the Ministry of Internal Affairs) 2. Wait the 3 years and get a spousal visa.  I will wait don't get me wrong, but what is the incentive in the waiting when many others are taking the shortcuts?
