    Re: Basoga's Traditional Marriage

I've found the customs of the Basoga and Baganda to be too similar. Thanks for the article. Now, can someone post on how to manage Basoga ladies who I understand are as tough as Bakiga ladies

LOL. It takes a Musoga gal 2 prove if a man is gay or not...

i was talking today with a muzungu, and he seems to think women from the north are the most ballistic (thats the word he used). apparently, for bazungu men, the darker the better. i tried to impress upon him the fact that african men are more inclined to assess other qualities besides skin color but to him, ebony is perfection.

Re: In Acholi marriage the bride price is not a tax.

It is the bride wealth to bless the famillies.

Incase of divorce the right numbers of goats or cows are returned compare with property entitlement by both couples in the English Law

Re: In Acholi marriage the bride price is not a tax.

how are the "right" number of cows and goats calculated? is it based on how many children born? the contribution of the man to the household? if one of the couple doesn't have enough cows or goats, does that mean (s)he will remain in a love-less marriage of convenience?
