Entebbe: Gateway to the Heart of Africa

ENTEBBE: Gateway to the Heart of Africa

Entebbe earned its name from the Lugandan word "ntebe" (chair). In pre-colonial times, the town hosted the office (seat) of the chief in Buganda who adjudicated in legal matters of the inhabitants.

Dear writer, I am encouraged by yr desire to prtray my native town as an attractive destination.

However it would be prudent if you researched a bit more before making some untruths in print example , The MZINGA in "mzinga park" has no relation to or does not owe its origin  from the " Tanzanian Occupation " of Uganda!

On the contrary, that park existed as far back as 1969 when I was born meaning the Tanzanian invasion 10 yrs later found it already a landmark!

I love Entebbe and it's surrounding villages. I am picking holes here but is the origin of the word Entebbe your own work or should you be crediting the person that came up with it! I am sure that I have read this somewhere in a book or website? Please correct me if I am wrong here

If it's going to be it's up to me
